Acupressure massage
Acupressure Massage is based on traditional Chinese medicine and has been around for thousands of years. It involves applying pressure to various points on your body to mobilize your qi (chi), or life force energy, in order to activate your body’s own healing. It is similar to acupuncture, but uses pressure applied with the fingers of the massage therapist instead of needles to achieve the desired results.
Acupressure uses Local Points which target the pain or tension experienced in the area being stimulated and Trigger Points which are meant to heal other parts of your body. Acupressure therapy is relaxing and may also help relieve pain, including menstrual cramps and headaches. It may also boost the immune system and aid in digestion. |
